Dr. Feelgood, Anfang der 1970er auf Canvey Island (Essex) gegründet, zählen bis heute zu den mitreissendsten Rhythm-&-Blues-Livebands der Welt. Ihr kompromissloser Stil brachte ihnen mit dem Album Stupidity direkt Platz 1 der UK-Charts ein. Mit Klassikern wie Roxette, Milk and Alcohol oder Back in the Night feierten sie internationale Erfolge und erhielten ihre erste Goldene Schallplatte. Das letzte Album mit Frontmann Lee Brilleaux (Down at the Doctors) entstand kurz vor seinem Tod live in Canvey Island. Die heutige Besetzung vereint langjährige Bandmitglieder mit neuen Impulsen, darunter Sänger Robert Kane. Mit dem hochgelobten Studioalbum Damn Right!
